MSNBC analyst Nicole Wallace said during a segment Wednesday that GOP Republicans who are speaking out against President Donald Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill" left out one glaring fact: they voted yes.

Wallace displayed Rep. Scott Perry's (R-Pa.) post on the social platform X in which he wrote, "I wish I had a nickel for every time the House Freedom Caucus sounded the alarm and nobody listened. Boo hoo! Only to find out the hard way. We were right all along. Yay us!"

Mocking Perry for not speaking up earlier, she said: "He was one of the Republicans who voted yes on the bill and now wants credit for sounding the alarm."

"What does that even mean in MAGA [Make America Great Again] world?"

Many GOP lawmakers have recently distanced themselves from the president's bill.

During a town hall in Seward, Rep. Mike Flood (R-Neb.) admitted he was unaware that a provision in the bill would limit judges' authority to hold individuals in contempt for defying court orders. He stated that had he known about this aspect, he would not have voted for the legislation.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) also said that she had been unaware that the bill she voted for for would prevent states from regulating artificial intelligence for a decade.

“Full transparency, I did not know about this section,” Greene wrote on the social platform X. She said she “would have voted NO if I had known this was in there.”
