Fox Attacks Sally Field [VIDEO]

Posted by Jim Gilliam at 9:39 AM on September 20, 2007.

Some people want to claim Field was censored by Fox because she said "god damn", but clearly FOX has had no qualms airing "god damn" in the past.

This post, written by Jim Gilliam, originally appeared on Fox Attacks

FOX censored Sally Field's anti-war comments during her acceptance speech at the Emmys.

Some people want to claim it's because she said "god damn", but clearly FOX has no qualms airing "god damn" cause on a recent FOX News program they aired it 5 times in the span of a couple of minutes.

Oh, and the FCC ruled that "goddamn" is perfectly acceptable on broadcast television.

FOX just didn't want you to hear what Sally said, and the majority of Americans already know, that "if mothers ruled the world there'd be no goddamn wars in the first place."

A big thanks to ChrisBG at the Newshounds for remembering this "god damn" segment on FOX News and then actually finding it!

It is time to appreciate Sally Field, and her speaking out.

Profanity on TV

I won't let my children watch TV except for PBS during the day.
I wish we could go back to a time when there was no profanity on the airwaves.
Why are the Emmys broadcast anyway? Just a bunch of neo-communists patting themselves on the backs.

Not that goddamn needs to be cut, but comparing primetime to 2:00 is disingenuous.

Good to know Fox is Anti-Woman

Its good to know Fox is biased against women, it should make all their female employees think twice about working for News Corp.

Why else censor a statement that declares a matriarchal society, rather than the patriarchal society we have, would not resort to war to solve its problems.

It obviously wasn't the phrase god damn.

Children and TV

Children shouldn't be watching TV at all. EVER. It's a leading cause of ADD and many other problems in society. TV (and public education education) is how WE are conditioned by the ruling class to be the sheep that we have become. TV also contributes to 'dumbing down'. Anyone under 14 should never be exposed to any 'MASS MEDIA' and anyone over should be very circumspect.

The point really is that FOX is by anyones definition on the side of the GOP. It is not impartial It is possibly working with the GOP; a dangerous situation. Does the USA have any independent media?

Instead of bleating about FOX, get off your virtual butts and do something. Delete FOX from your auto-programmed list of stations. Go to this site

and sign it.

All any one seems to get is a mire sound bit of retaliation against the Bush lying machine, then Gawd damn Fox jumps in and denies a citizen her constitutional right to free speech.

This is without a doubt crime to deny any citizen her/his freedoms guaranteed by the constitution of the "Real" United States of America.

Fox must be held accountable in a court of law.
Question: Who cut her off? We want names and faces and addresses.
Let's get'm!

Get real. If mothers ruled the world, there would still be plenty of wars, and we would all have to wear sweaters in the middle of August.

Look what all of this censorship has done. An aging star who does commercials for Big Pharm rattles off an old cliche, and now everybody thinks she really is Norma Rae. Thanks for nothing, Fox.

If women ruled the world, wars would not cease. Instead, the wars would be over someone borrowing someone elses' sweater and stretching it out of shape. Because, SHE used HER lip gloss without asking. Or, because THEY were talking to THEIR boyfriends. If for no other reason, conflict would result from the deadly conditions of P.M.S. or Post Partem Depression. These are the excuses women currently use to justify scratching eachothers' eyes out and murdering their infants.
