Bill Maher laid into the White House and its mushy rhetoric on his HBO program recently, giving a tour of the scandal overflow with a special focus on the outing of Valerie Plame: That's not treason anymore, outing a spy? Did I mention it was one of our spies?

Video and transcript courtesy of right wing watch dogs and administration kiss-ups.

New Rule - Traitors don't get to question my patriotism. What could be less patriotic than constantly screwing things up for America? You know, it's literally hard to keep up with the sheer volume of scandals in the Bush administration. Which is why I like to download the latest scandals right onto my IPod. That way, I can catch up on this week's giant f**k up on my drive into work.

In fact, Bush has so many scandals he could open a chain of "Bush Scandal and F**k Up" theme restaurants. Hmmm, should I get the Harriet Miers Meatloaf, or the Katrina Crabcakes?

You know, not to generalize, but the 29 percent of people who still support President Bush are the ones who love to pronounce themselves more patriotic than the rest of us. But just saying you're patriotic is like saying you have a...

... big c**k. If you have to say it, chances are it's not true. And indeed, the Party that flatters itself that they protect America better is the Party that has exhausted the military, left the ports wide open, and purposely outed a CIA agent, Valerie Plame. That's not treason anymore, outing a spy? Did I mention it was one of our spies?

And how despicable that Bush's lackeys attempted to diminish this crime by belittling her service like she was just some chick who hung around the CIA. An intern really. Groupie if you want to be mean about it. No. Big lie. Valerie Plame was the CIA's operational officer in charge of counter-proliferation. Which means she tracked loose nukes. So, when Bush said, as he once did, that his absolute, number one priority was preventing terrorists from getting loose nukes, okay, that's what she worked on. That's what she devoted her life to. Staying undercover for 20 years. Maintaining two identities every God-damned day. This is extraordinary service to your country. Valerie Plame was the kind of real life secret agent George Bush dreams of being when he's not too busy pretending to be a cowboy or a fighter pilot.

CIA agents are troops. This was a military assassination of one of our own done through the press, ordered by Karl Rove. He said of Valerie Plame, quote, "She's fair game," and then Cheney shot her.

George Bush likes to claim that he doesn't question his critics' patriotism, just their judgment. Well, let me be the first of your critics, Mr. President, to question your judgment and your patriotism. Because let's not forget why they did it to her. Because Valerie Plame was married to this guy Joe Wilson who the Bush people hated because he busted them on one of their bulls**t reasons for invading Iraq. He was sent to the African country of Niger to see if Niger was selling nuclear fuel to Iraq. They weren't. It was bulls**t. And he said so. In fact, his report was called, "Niger, Please."

Valerie Plame's husband told the truth about their lies, so they were willing to jeopardize an entire network of spies to ruin her life. Wow. Even the mob doesn't go after your family.

Mark Twain said, "Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it." And I say Valerie Plame is a patriot because she spent her life serving her country. Scooter Libby is not because he spent his life serving Dick Cheney. Valerie Plame kept her secrets. The Bush administration leaked like the plumbing at Walter Reed.

In the year 2008, I really think that Hillary Clinton should run for president on a platform of restoring honor and integrity to the Oval Office.

Impeachment

The comedians are working over-time on this administration. But what is the new Congress going to do about it? Only they and an outraged American citizenery can make impeachment happen. It will cause a lot of disruption, it will be a lot of trouble but it will set an example for any politicians in the future who want to serve themselves and the corporations under the banner of patriotism and the use of fear tactics. Impeachment in this case would be worth the trouble.

Why Aren't Republicans Angry About What Happened to Valerie Plame?

Can you imagine the anger and outrage that the Republicans would have displayed if the Clinton admininistration had outed a CIA agent in the same way that Valerie Plame was outed? Instead, we have heard is that she sent her husband on a junket to Africa, she wasn't really covert, and that a special prosecutor never should have been appointed. Now they want a pardon for Scooter.

There were eleven documented leaks between White House personnel and reporters, but if you listen to the Republicans, nobody did anything wrong. This situation is hypocrisy at its worst.

Anyone want to bet it's only a matter of time before ole' Billy-Boy comes around to accepting the reality of who was behind 9-11? Right now he thinks they were just too stupid to have pulled it off, but give it time, give it time... soon enough he will realize that it was precisely because of their arrogance and stupidity they left far too many clues and made far too many mistakes, and the rest will be self-evident after that.

You might be able to keep the truth down when you kill ONE person in plain view like JFK; try 3000 with the entire world watching while demolishing a couple of the largest buildings in the world with rescue workers and people still in them and you've really bitten off a bit more than ANYONE could ever chew, no matter how Machievellian you might think you are.

Truth will out; it ALWAYS does.

P.S. And NO, it wasn't Israel, it was the Bush Family, their cronies in the military and intel agencies and "defense" contracting, and their bedmates the Saudis cheerfully providing the patsies. Israel NEVER trusted the Bushes farther than they could throw them and that's why they achieve all "cooperation" with blackmail, much of it OVER 9-11 itself. Israel has its own faults; owning 9-11 isn't one of them.

Was the closing statement of the article sarcasm? Hillary for president? HHellooo? Hillary Clinton is a globalist/neocon and a WTO/pentagon/banksterMafia operative just like her husband Bill=Iran Contra, NAFTA WALMART=Stevens Inc. She is the hegelian response to Bush. Send her away. Or better yet, ask her how much money she made on 9/11? Then send her to jail.

This week's show was so-so. Lousy guests, poor discussion--and I wondered why we bother--then, Bill woke me up with this final comment. A more graphic version of Olbermann's comments, Maher said what is obvious to anyone with three-grey cells to rub together. The real traitors are in the WH. Still.

Bill Maher's speech is one of the most well written, succint, hard-hitting rants I have read or listened to. Who cares if the rest of his show wasn't "entertaining". Olbermann has to work hard to get a good five minute rant in on MSNBC in order to avoid having NBC foist an interview with thug Tom Delay on him. Bill's speech is extremely hard-hitting, clever, telling, with clear FU invective. Hooraah for him and f--k the alphabet spy and recordation groups (CIA,FBI,NRA,etc.)!

It's about damned time that someone slapped the Bushies right upside the head for their treason and lies. And, yes, I think the Bushies have sold out the US to the globalists and big multinationals while filling their pockets to overflowing with the taxpayers money.

Only a traitor in the oval office

Could have done this much damage to our country. Beside the Plame affair and criminal neglect of counterterrorism, these traitors-with-the-American-flag-on-the-lapel have shipped enough currency overseas to fund our opposition in Iraq and to allow the Communist Chinese to bring our economy crashing down any time they choose! (If they begin dumping their enormous US currency reserve it would start a run on the dollar, the end result of which would be global panic and depression) With the enormous debt these treasonous bastards have run up (largely held by other countries) a loud fart could trigger a collapse that would make 1929 look like a Sunday picnic. And what foreign enemy could have so weakened our military? Could have pissed on the constitution and made us an international paraih? Could have criminalized the opposition party with the goal of ending democracy? (That's what "permanent majority' actually meant.) Oh, yeah, and aside from the obvious, could have disposed with every competent General and replaced them with political hacks? Thrown sand in the gears of every peice of armour? Exhausted the troops? Mismanaged the procurement process to such an extent that basic replacements and gear are unavailable. This stuff is expensive! How will a collapsing economy pay to replace it? If I were a foreign enemy, I'd be dancing with glee. Never have we been more vulnerable.

Another Lesson In Treason

Is it just me or is a puzzle coming together very quickly:
1. The Russians are again building up their military and expanding their contacts in the Middle East, inc. Iran and its nuclear program.

2. China is building up its military, giving quasi-support to N. Korea in its nuclear program, negotiating with BushCo on a free trade deal of technology from us for ???. Oh, yeah, nothing of consequence.

3. China can now topple us financially if it so chooses.

4. Iran's president cannot get a visa to speak at the UN on the weekend that new sanctions are enacted.

5. The acting US ambassador to the UN says Iran has 60 days to comply with nuclear shutdown or else the US will act.

6. 15 British saliors and marines are seized and interrogated (ie tortured) before they will be charged with trespassing in Iranian waters (something that is at best questionable and always has been)

7. Tony Blair is on his way out at just this moment because of lack of support by his citizenry - what better way to get back on top that have your citizens kidnapped?

8. BushCo is inflaming the Iraqis and insurgents by sending in more troops.

Does any of this look like the puzzle for WWIII coming together on the global stage, or is it just me? This nation's President and the current political gaggle running for president all seem to be oblivious to this gathering storm. Not one of them is addressing these issues except with posturings about patriotism and what the American people supposedly do not understand. Well, guess What, Mr. President - WE DO UNDERSTAND - YOU ARE LEADING US INTO A WORLD WAR FOR OIL SO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS CAN GET RICHER ON THE BLOOD OF OUR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS!

This must end and it must end now. If Congress cannot find the backbone, which is obvious, then Republicans and Democrats who do not support this establishment must join with the Independents and form a new party that will act now to gather people together and take back our government. We are almost at the tipping point. If the US ambassador to the UN is right - we have about 60 days, and we will be done for.

We no longer have time for niceties. Patriotism is not just supporting your country - it is defending Her from those who would destroy Her, either from outside or from within.

I am calling on our military and CIA who read this post to join in defending this country. Not by blindly following a madman into Armageddon, but by working with the people to reclaim our government and country. I am asking the FBI to stop violating our citizens rights and join our citizens in stopping this insanity by making the truth available to us, not buried in the files of a corrupt leadership. I am asking the Border Patrol and the ICE workers who know how wrong DHS policies are to stand up and secure our borders with the help of the military and stop this invasion of people into our nation to serve as slave labor for the corporations.

It is time, America, to stop the treasonous acts of all our politicians and put America back in the hands of Her People.

That totally needed to be said, and more people need to follow his lead to take the place of our castrated media.

The only thing I could humbly add is that there are plenty of other fine candidates that could hopefully restore honesty to our government. Let WE THE PEOPLE pick the best one!

Great screed by Bill Maher, except for the last sentence. His Hillary is a DLC (Big Money) democrat, one who pays lip service to working stiffs. I predict her new health care plan will be nothing more than a boon to the insurance companies. A well structured single payer system that eliminates big insurance is the only way to go. To say that we don't have enough smarts to devise such a plan doesn't say much for American ingenuity. Or shall we wait until we're bankrupt? We're getting there.

Better than Maher rant: David Frum sees his shadow

David Frum - AEI operative, National Review propagandist, and co-conspirator with Richard Perle and other NeoCons on the GWOT strategy and the 2003 Iraq invasion plans - wasn't just a so-so guest on Maher's program Friday.

He's one of the few publicly-available faces of the Truly Guilty who have suddenly become - since November 11, 2007 - the Truly-Disappointed-Because-Some-Bad-Apples-Ruined-Our-War.

Maher cut him some slack so he would be less uncomfortable in public (like a groundhog) - which is the only way the average American will understand the nature of the NeoCon character. If a few NeoCons start getting lynched in public, the rest will scurry away on their dual-citizenship passports and the US public will miss the chance to clock these clowns before they resurface in 10 years to launch more wars-of-choice.

The only thing Maher left out is pointing out that the criminally insane neocon operatives PURPOSELY "fucked up." Thank goodness we were able to halt some of their plans by electing a Democratic Congress or it could been even worse than it is now.
No doubt, we would have been bombing Iran by now. Just think how much more money they could have robbed.
We need to make sure that the 2008 elections cannot be manipulated in any way and WE NEED TO START TODAY to make sure we have clean elections.

Sorry, no one is authorized to shake the 9/11 tree with conspiracy theories. The 9/11 Commission investigation was completed under the supervision of Bush's trustworthy (loyal Bushies) GOP Congress. That says everything!!! The Dems are too scared to revisit the Elephant in the Room until We The People remind them that the investigation was a botched job.

But, hey. . .

when We the People wake up and realize that the billowing black smoke issuing from the towers indicated a fire so oxygen - starved, you couldn't have roasted a chicken, much less melt steel. . .

When The People wake up to realize that what we saw was a vaporization, not a collapse - if it had been a collapse, we would have seen floor upon floor stacked up like a 120-decker 'scraper sandwich, and the crews would have spent years jackhammering the pieces in order to haul away. But no, the pieces were blown to bits, and were scooped up and hauled away.

Human remains were only found in bits:
"It was a finger here, a fingertip there," Lauria said. "We didn't find a complete body, just fragments of remains."

http://www.uky.edu/PR/UK_News/news10801.html

Even Silverstein slipped, saying that Building 7 was "pulled" - an industrial term for demolition.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0scE7bQWdk

But the 9/11 Commission report doesn't discuss building #7, which housed the offices of government agencies like the CIA, the FBI, and the SEC; the Official line was that it collapsed on its own (6 hours later, at free-fall speed!) from flaming debris from the towers, blah, blah, blah. OMG they truly think we are so stupid!!!
