Sure, the video to the right is sensational, depicting as it does, a supporter or staffer for Al Wynn having bloodied the head of a Donna Edwards supporter, but that's not the real story.

Wynn, according to Matt Stoller, is a "net neutrality bad guy and all around machine hack," whose unknown progressive opponent Donna Edwards, is gaining traction in the Democratic primary.

The brawl above, which took place before a debate, was the only punch the Wynn campaign was able to get in. Stoller writes:

Edwards just crushed Wynn on his votes for the war, the energy bill, the bankruptcy bill, etc. Wynn is clearly a terrible Congressman, one of the biggest villains on net neutrality. What the debate proved is that he's also a terrible politician who has maintained his seat in Congress through a mixture of fear, machine politics, and voter apathy. The fact that Edwards, a first-time candidate who has had significant trouble with her campaign, is rattling Wynn, is a big deal.

There's at least one...

I recently had a talk with my mom about voting for Wynn, since a few months ago she (jokingly) vowed not to after he disgraced himself on the Colbert Report. So, I looked into his voting record, and not only was he against net neutrality, he voted to authorized drilling in Alaskan wildlife preserves and to repeal the estate tax.

I was going to vote Green, but if there's a true Dem out there, she's got my vote.

Major league sphincter factor. Whaddya wanna bet he has something to do with this Md. Diebold disaster, not just the state legislature? What else does he support that's completely moronic?? What an opportunistic cowardly shit.

That's my definitive poitical analysis. And I have proof - I met him once and did an on-site appraisal of his personality.
