Bush addresses the wealthiest 59 African-Americans. Yes, 59.

Bush finally speaks before the NAACP after 6 years of freezing them out and what does he tout? The repeal of the Estate Tax -- a tax which, Think Progress notes, applies to about 59 African-Americans.

But it does apply to a friend of Bush's, Robert L. Johnson, a millionaire who has campaigned against the tax in the past. And if there's one thing the Bush presidency can be counted on for, it's helping his friends get wealthier -- come Hell or high water. Both of which don't seem quite so far away as they used to.

Nico Pitney suggests another topic Bush might've addressed: poverty. (ThinkProgress)

If Bob Johnson was such a believer in ownership, than why did he sell BET to Viacom? He believes in ownership like a Bush believes in democracy.

What's happening to our NAACP when they allow this type of mockery in their mist. The Pres Geek went back to his hole and laughed about the whole deal with his house geeks.

Did anyone see Julian Bond on Colbert's show last nite? When Steven asked how the moron's speech was received, Bond replied the only good part of the entire speech was the first sentence when smirky W went into his over-used and well rehearsed self-mockery mode and said 'you may be asking yourselves, what took me so long to come here?' After that zinger, it all went downhill. Bond said you don't go to a carpentry convention to speak about plumbing. Obviously. the NAACP carpenters expected discussions of poverty and warfare and got the toilet flushed when the shithead opened his sanctimonious oral hole.

WE DO NOT CARE HOW MUCH MONEY ONE USES TO DRESS A PIG, IT IS STILL A PIG...BUSH "SILVERFOOT" 43 ONCE AGAIN INVITED "BROS AND SISTAS" TO JOIN HIM IN THE "OUTHOUSE, NOT THE "WHITEHOUSE..." REMEMBER HIS FAMOUS QUOTE : "...See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda." GEORGE W. BUSH

THE MASTA WAS SPEAKING, AND OUR BROTHERS STILL DO NOT, REPEAT DO NOT GET IT...THE MAJORITY ARE STILL ON THE PLANTATION , UNEMPLOYED, JAILED OR OUT TO COMMIT CRIME , ETC AND THE FACT IS THAT BUSH 43 KNOWS THAT WHETHER BLACKS VOTE AGAINST HIM AND THE RE-PUG-NICANS, THEY STILL GET THEIR CANDIDATES ELECTED...ALSO, THIS APPLIES TO THE "CHICANOS", SINCE THEY DO NOT VOTE...REMEMBER : "...THE MORE THINGS CHANGE, THE MORE THEY REMAIN THE SAME..." ALSO, 70 % OF THE 1.9 MILLION IN JAILS ARE BLACKS AND CHICANOS...!!!SO WHERE ARE THE VOTERS...IN MY OPINION, NAACP, LULAC, URBAN LEAGUE, ETC ARE STILL COLLECTING MONIES, BUT ARE NOT OFFERING ANY RELIEF TO THE MAJORIY POPULATION -LATINOS AND BLACKS, THAT ARE CLASSIFIED AS MINORITY...WHO IS KIDDING WHO...???
MY TAKE IS AN OLD , REALITY SAYING ; "...BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL, BROWN IS GRAND,BUT WHITE IS THE COLOR OF THE BIG BOSS MAN..." MY SINCERE WISH IS THAT WE CHANGE THE NAME OF THE "WHITE HOUSE" TO THE "AMERICAN HOUSE" SO THAT THE IMPLICATION IS NOT TO DESCRIBE COLOR PREFERENCE...

Is Bush laughing?

Is it just me or is Bush laughing under his breath as he tells these contrived stories? It appears to me that he is smirking and laughing at the audience.

Get Up! Rise Up! Ignorance is a voluntary condition

It is a sad state of affairs when the leader of the free world is as shamelessly ignorant as George W is. How much more evidence do we need to understand this is the beginning of the fall of the great empire?
Why does W only address the needs of Black Americans as those concerned only with poverty, imprisonment, and the lack of understanding predatory lenders?
Have We Over Come?
My neighbor lives in a section 8 house across the street from mine has 6 kids from 6 different men. I am also Black, but have two kids from my husband.
Ignorace is voluntary.
I take my kid out in an eagle costume on halloween, because I tell her she can fly with the eagles when she grows up.
This same neighbor dresses her kid up in a prison outfit. My other neighbor, who is white, has a daughter having her second illegitamite kid with an ex-con who is also white. So poverty and ignorance have no particular race, but in the media, it always seems to have a black face.
George W is far from broke, but he sorely lacks the training and education the best money could buy.

Nothing quite as embarrassing as watching someone bomb so miserably

There is nothing quite as uncomfortable and embarrassing as watching someone bomb so miserably. Watching this drunk cracker try to "get down" and "preach" to the audience is like watching Snoop trying to sing opera. "Gather up the darkies now, Tiberius... Massah's gonna speak!!"

All the man can do is make louder, uglier, drunker, more moronic sounds, as the audience cheers every point he inadvertedly made against himself and his party. How much alcohol, cocaine and methamphetamine did it take to make him even believe for a second he had what it took to even attempt this speech? The inauthenticity could be felt all the way to the end of the friggin' universe.

Cringe, Amerika, cringe.

The NAACPee-er by George W. Bush

I hope that now, after the last few weeks' imbecilic gaffs on an international stage by Duh-president, NO one in his right mind will call Bush intelligent.

Putin's disgusted awe at such a personal BOOR sharing the stage with world leaders, Duh's impromptu shoulder massage of German PM Merkel and his inane appearance at the NAACP surely convince everyone of Duh's indelible status as the boy-king.

He is in his 50's, has an MBA from an Ivy League school and he doesn't seem to be attentive to anything. Duh, is like the Olive on the Banana Split--he just doesn't FIT. ANYWHERE.

He is the guy who is in charge of the company and shows up at a staff meeting wearing a beanie-copter on his head and while the quarterly reports are being delivered he is tinkering with his hat because he can't make the copter part work.

Catch William Rivers Pitt's description of his latest behavior on truthout.org. It is painful but true.

Now thinking of Bush I just broke wind. I am sure President Pretzel (little did we know how prophetic that incident was!) would match me fart for fart and pout I if won. He knows how to have a good time, even if there IS still HIS war going on.

Hey, it's hard work.
