Or: how to be a Republican candidate

Spends a lot of time and energy thinking about 'faggots' and 'sissies.'

Mitt Romney has a problem. It's similar to Giuliani's, George Pataki's and, until he decided that Jerry Falwell was no longer an "agent of intolerance," John McCain's. Conservative Christian support.

Without it, you will not be a Republican president.

The difference with Mitt Romney is that, unlike the others, he's got Christian chops -- only his are of the Mormon variety.

On the one hand he's hoping that evangelicals don't care: "People want to see their leaders as people of faith ... they don't put much significance in the brand."

While on the other, he's reaching out with open arms. Apart from his recent appearance at South Carolina's Citadel, a conservative military school, during which he faithfully toed the evangelical line, he's now got his wife in on the act.

From today's press release: "Massachusetts First Lady Joins 'Liberty Sunday' Simulcast."

That would be the Liberty Sunday of the Tony Perkins and Bishop Wellington Boone that Ann Romney's to speak at. That would be the Wellington Boone who just last month told the Values Voters Summit:

"I want the gays mad at me." Boone said that while "the gays" are "saying a few things" about him, "they’re not coming at me strong." In an effort to change that, Boone declared:

Back in the days when I was a kid, and we see guys that don’t stand strong on principle, we call them "faggots."

Ahh, the process of choosing a Republican candidate. Rev your engines.

Is Palin a Step Backwards for Women in Power?
Sarah Palin is a milestone, for we achieve true gender equality when an incompetent woman goes as far as an incompetent man.

From the way he and so many others are clammoring for the vote of whatever a "value driven voter" is, it looks as if he and so many others currently in office Still Are Kids... Name calling, mud slinging, lieing and just plain meaness...

I've had enough of this Childishness, I'm ready for a Real Human Being who values Humanity without feeling the need to villianize entire cultures one against the other... Whatever happened to the America I knew When I was a Kid???

Well, I guess that's a step up from Pinko, Commie, Liberal, Cut and Runner or (excuse me..) Democrat...

It would appear that Bush isn't the only dry drunk staking a claim in the Rethuglican party.

America, wake up. If you want your leaders to be addicted to alcohol, hatred or religion go ahead and vote these butth0les into office. If you want people who are at least within a safe realm of 'normal', don't do it. Vote for ANYONE other than them.

OK, when this guy was a kid, like all kids, faggot meant what it still means, and it damned well DID NOT have anything to do with "principle". These so called "christian" people were difigured spiritually somewhere along the line, probably by their families, they learned to hate, to scapegoat, to exclude, and even to project.
The Amish may be the only real christians in this country, based on their handling of recent trajedy, but Perkins, Falwell, Robertson, Dobson, et.al, these are the people who would crucify Christ AGAIN, if he returned with the same message he had the first time around.
